If we go by food historians, honey wine came into existence over 8000 years ago. It is believed that it was first created on the island of Crete. Another set of experts claim that it was first founded in China in the 7th millennium BCE. You will be surprised to know that honey wine was also mentioned in the Sanskrit Rig Veda.
